“ Wasn't allowed to bring in my backpack with my type 1 diabetic supplies, for reasons? Even though that is literally covered by my ADA rights. My federal ones, no less. That hiccup aside, the bartenders were really nice, and so was my food. Probably will be back! Without my backpack, or any of my diabetic supplies. Unless I compile them into a tote bag, or a purse, which I didn't have on hand at the time. ”

We stopped in on game day, and even with the large crowds, the staff stayed friendly and attentive, regularly checking in on us throughout our visit, which really stood out. The drinks were tasty and well-made, and the food was better than expected for a dive bar. The bar also offers video poker, but they were all occupied the whole entire time we were there. I also saw that Anchor Bar offers drink and food specials during the week, plus a daily happy hour, making it a solid spot if you’re looking for good value. The only downside is the small parking area, which can be tricky when it’s packed. Overall, a great neighborhood dive bar with good drinks, good food, and friendly service. Definitely worth stopping by. ”
